Brian Gagne

Meet Brian Gagne, the driving force behind SxSWeRide.com. With a passion for off-roading spanning over three decades, Brian's journey began as a child with dirtbikes, 3-wheelers, and swamp buggies in Southern Florida. From his early days maneuvering a Jeep Cherokee through challenging terrains to exploring the latest SXS models, Brian's off-road enthusiasm knows no bounds. Currently, he roams from location to location with his 2021 Polaris Rzr Pro Xp 4, capturing thrilling content for followers who share his love for fast trails, dunes, and rock crawling. Recognizing a need in the SXS community, Brian founded SxSWeRide.com to provide valuable information at enthusiasts' fingertips. Beyond curating content, he actively participates in side-by-side and UTV events, ensuring a firsthand experience to share with his dedicated followers.

Ashlee, Sergio & Addison Michel In Their Can Am Maverick XRS X3 MAXX

Sergio & Ashlee Michel

Sergio grew up in Southern Arizona and has always been infatuated with anything with wheels, especially off road. Started with ATV’s and have progressed to UTV’s with first purchase of a 2017 Can Am X3 XRS Max 4 years ago. In the 4 years the machine has had a handful of upgrades with more to come soon.

Ashlee first began riding dirt bikes and ATV’s, has always enjoyed anything Offroad. Her husband purchased his first UTV and after riding along with him she decided she belonged in the driver seat as-well. So for her birthday in 2021 she was surprised with her own 2018 Can Am X3 Turbo R and has been pushing the limits of her machine and herself ever since.

Their passion for off roading has been passed on to their daughter Addison as well which at 7 years old pilots her own Rzr 170, great family experience for all.

Kendell Gaston

Kendell grew up in the North Texas Hill country, honing his offroading skills on atv's. Since the 90's he has admired and learned from some of the best hard core rock crawlers in the nation. Since returning to North Texas almost 15 years ago he began to expand into his own jeep and SxS’s. Following in the footsteps of his family and friends, he purchased a 2015 Polaris 900 RZR4 based on its ability to navigate technical terrain. Later Kendell acquired a Polaris Rzr TurboS. He enjoys the challenge of new trails that provide the opportunity to use his skill set from his years of rock crawling.

Wayland Tubbs

Meet Wayland Tubbs, the SxSWeRide Ambassador known for his daring spirit. Growing up, he displayed a penchant for risk, constructing jumps at a young age for his power wheels and transitioning to dirt bikes until a leg injury redirected his focus. Introduced to the SXS world by his uncle Les Holmes, Wayland kicked off his journey with a 2016 4-seater turbo, exploring dunes and conquering rock climbs.
Progressing to a 2019 Turbo S 2-seater, he ventured into racing, participating in short courses and various racing events. After an unfortunate accident rendered his machine irreparable, Wayland acquired a 2023 Turbo R, aiming to maintain its stock features. Always ready for a race or ride, he welcomes fellow enthusiasts to join him for a guaranteed great and safe time on the trails.

Dustin Couch

Dustin Couch, a seasoned motorsports enthusiast, has left tire tracks across the off-road racing scene. His journey began in S Tx at a tender age, immersed in dirt track racing and top fuel drags. By the time he was five, he was already captivated by the thrill of speed and adrenaline.

In 2018, Dustin made a pivotal shift, transitioning from racing quads to side-by-sides. His first purchase was a 2017 Can Am Maverick X3, but fate intervened when an unfortunate water-skipping incident totaled his initial X3. Undeterred, Dustin bounced back, acquiring a new X3 and investing in safety and performance upgrades.

Behind the scenes, Dustin leverages Evolution Powersports (EVP) parts to transform his Can-Am Maverick X3 TurboRR into a speed demon. EVP’s expertise in performance tuning and aftermarket enhancements ensures that Dustin’s machine dominates the trails and racetrack.

Dustin’s racing career skyrocketed on the 300ft drag racing strip at Cross Bar Ranch, where he clinched victory in his very first event. Since then, he has consistently stood atop the podium at prestigious gatherings like UTV Invasion, South Texas Showdown, SXSUSA Spring Hoedown/Fall Hootenany, UTV Takeover, and the Sand Outlaw events. Over the past five years, his X3 has secured an impressive 25 podium finishes, cementing his status as a formidable competitor in the SxS stock class.

But Dustin doesn’t just race; he lives for the thrill of the outdoors. His Maverick X3 becomes an extension of himself as he explores the sand dunes, rugged trails and conquers rocky terrain. Dustin’s passion for off-road adventures knows no bounds.
